Biltong Dust and Hummus Recipe
We got lots of satisfaction making this because it's so easy, so rewarding and so delicious.
You don't need many ingredients to make this a memorable snack. When your friends come around for a visit or if you feeling peckish whip up some hummus and funk it up with some delicious biltong dust topping for an extra bit of a hum.
- 1x can of chickpeas 400g
- 2 tsp tahini
- 1 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp crushed sea salt
- 6 tbsp quality extra virgin olive oil (plus extra for drizzling)
- freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Biltong Dust
- Toasted sesame seeds
Literally chuck all these ingredients in the blender or a Nutri bullet. (except for the sesame seeds and biltong dust).
You may need to add a little bit of liquid to make it smoother (or to your preferred consistency).
Let the mixer do its work for a minute or so and then empty the contents into a suitably sized bowl, drizzle with some extra virgin olive oil, some sesame seeds and a good whack of your Runder Biltong Dust. We dipped our snap sticks in the hummus but you can dip anything in. Think about crusty chunks of toast, chips, vegetable sticks, pretzels - anything you like.
